Knowing her love for pregnancy and all things baby, Jessica Deeb started her nursing career in obstetrics. In addition to completing her Master of Science in Women's Health Nursing, Jessica is also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator. Currently she is working part time at a New York City academic medical center as a clinical nurse specialist and childbirth educator. Jessica also spends several hours volunteering each month. But most important to her, is her role as a wife to her ever patient husband and a mom to her seriously sweet 4 year old and super smiley 1 year old.
As a nurse with many hats, Gladys Vallespir-Ellett has worked at the bedside, office, in management and now as the coordinator of parent education in a New York City academic medical center. Her love for the expectant family and new parents has driven her to create many new parent education programs to meet their needs. An active member of Lamaze International, Gladys is a certified childbirth educator and lactation counselor. Unsure of what she wants to be when she grows up, Gladys is currently enrolled in a nursing doctoral program, adding to her nursing, theater, and higher education degrees. Standing behind her this whole way, is an all male cheering section; husband, two sons, and yes even the two dogs are boys!
